The hammam is one of the oldest rooms dedicated to the body. VALKEA conceives it in its contemporary reading: artisan mosaic, selected natural stone, calculated thermal bench and professional steam generator. A room that belongs to the house, not a technical caprice.
The hammam is not a cold room with steam. It is a continuous atmosphere: steam at a constant 45 °C, humidity near saturation, controlled aromatherapy and a thermal bench that keeps the body in its ideal immersion temperature. Every parameter is designed; nothing improvised.
Each VALKEA hammam is projected as a small architectural work. The mosaic — selected, cut and laid by craftsmen — defines the room's character. The natural stone bench, calculated in thickness and conductivity, lets the body reach temperature without aggression. Lighting is resolved with stage criterion, not functional.
"Steam shapes an invisible volume. Designing it is the discipline."
We work with mosaic workshops of Mediterranean tradition. Each hammam is designed with its own palette: tonality, texture, grout. Installation is executed on site, piece by piece, with respect for the gesture of the craft.
The bench — central piece of the hammam — is executed in natural stone over a heated structure. Bench temperature is calculated to keep the body in its comfort zone throughout the session: neither cold on first contact, nor overheated in prolonged immersion.
Bespoke chromatic and grout design. Mediterranean craft workshops. On-site installation, piece by piece. No catalogue patterns.
Selected natural stone (marble, travertine, basalt) over heated structure. Constant temperature calculated for immersion comfort.
Professional steam generator dimensioned to volume. Integrated aromatherapy. Stage lighting, not functional.
Each VALKEA hammam starts with a technical visit and a dialogue with the studio that signs the work. Request the dossier to begin the commission.
